Every spring season bright colours are a must! They not only make you look fabulous but they also brighten up your mood and make you stand out in the crowd! Although spring is a step closer to summer it can still be chilly and a good cosy slouch jumper is essential over a shirt to give it that classy smart edge. A statement necklace is a key piece to add to most looks, whether that is a gold or silver one or something bright and extravagant

Rebecca Chirstine photogrophy and her model were doing a spring photoshoot yesterday and I lent them some of my dresses. Here are the pictures from their photshoot. The dresses that our worn in the pictures are in our mini collection for the races and are suitable for races, prom and any other occassion. They can be made in any colour and lots of different fabric.

The oscars was held a couple of weeks ago and the best part was seeing all of those glamorous dresses on the red carpet!! There’s some pictures below of our favourites from the night. We like the elegant plain dresses like the one Charlize Theron wore and we also like the sparkly ones like Jennifer Hudson wore. See below for some of our favourites…

Here’s some pictures from our spring/summer photoshoot we did the other day with models Beth Cammack & Claire Jones, hair was styled by GLAMiam.

It shows some new spring/summer peices which include dresses appropriate for all occassions such as the races and proms.

On Sunday (17th February) there is a wedding fayre at Runcorn Town Hall and we will be attending to show dresses that can be made for bridesmaids and even brides. We will have some bits from our new collection there that people will be able to see so even if you’re not getting married you can come and have a little look. It starts at 12pm and finishes at 4pm. It’s a free event and it’s open to everybody.

Also we will be attending ‘The Fashion Show’ next Friday (22nd February) which will be held in Devonshire House Hotel in Liverpool where there will be a catwalk which will be showing our dresses. There will also be male and female models, other fabulous designers, DJ/music, dancers, raffle and prizes etc.. We are selling tickets in our shop and a general ticket is £10/VIP £15 which includes front row seat, drink on arrival and a cupcake. This is a charity event in aid of ‘Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice’.

The biggest night in music was held on Sunday 10th February in LA where all of Hollywood’s finest attended. There was performances from the likes of Rihanna, Bruno Mars and Justin Timberlake.

Winners of the night include Beyonce, Usher and Kelly Clarkson, Frank Ocean and many more.

All the dresses on the red carpet were amazing but here are some of our favourites from JLO,  Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Katy Perry, Rihanna and Solange Knowles.

Friday 22nd February there is a fashion show that we will be attending at Devnshire House Hotel, Liverpool & you are all welcome!

Doors open at 6.30pm and the fashion show starts at 7.30pm. There will be male & female models, fabulous designers including ourselves, DJ/music, exibitions, dancers, raffle & prizes all at this amazing venue.

General ticket is £10.00 and VIP ticket is £15.00 which includes front row seat, arrival drink & a cupcake.

We are selling the tickets in our shop so if you would like one pop in.

Are you always looking for unique gifts, something personal that your daughter, niece, sister will treasure?

We are now taking orders for this year’s races and I can’t wait to start! so if you are going and need a dress then come and get one made to measure. There will be a mini collection getting made and you will be able to see it in the next few weeks which will show what styles of dresses can be made for the occassion. If you have your own ideas about what you would like making then bring them in and choose your fabrics etc. or you can wait to see our collection incase you see something you like.

We get lots of enquiries everyday about work experience/placements and I  love the fact that there are a lot of pupils wanting to have a career in the fashion industry. We are always looking for help at our fashion shows, in the sewing room, web design etc.

We also take on students for 11 month placements for their sandwich year at university. We have already had lots of CVs for this year so if you would like this opportunity please forward your CV to us at info@lovefrocks.com and we will be in touch asap. You will learn a lot with us here at Love Frocks from sewing skills, pattern cutting, fabric sourcing, organising events and most of all general work duties.

I myself had a lot of placements through -out uni including Jenny Packham and Julia Clancey at London Fashion Week. I loved both of them and learnt so much from my time there and gave me the passion to really want to work in this amazing industry.
