Autumn Bloom

Its that time of year again the cold days are approaching but who said it has to be gloomy? The latest Autumn trend is everything floral, who said you can only wear them in the summer? This autumn/winter doesn’t have to bleak here are some of my favourite interpretations of this fabulous trend.¬†Clements Ribeiro are designers who definitely knows how to be innovative with print and don’t they do it well? They’ve done floral with a contemporary vibrant twist they aren’t afraid of using colour and combining prints.

Erdem’s latest collection looks like its taken to the dark side but there are some vibrant floral looks among them, the way the print is used against the black makes the colours used look even brighter making the print an instant eye-catcher. The distorted floral print seen on the model in the middle of the image above is an instant love, its such a fresh and contemporary approach to the trend.

Thakoon has taken a quirky spin on this latest trend, I love the romantic floral patchwork interpretation with the combination of different fabrics this was first showcased at New York Fashion week earlier in the year. I love the use of dandelions in one of the prints (on the centre model) even though its a dark print the use on the way it shows parts of the flower coming off across the print brings the dress to life.

Moving onto Valentino, who doesn’t love this Italians work? I certainly do! Valentino never fails to impress always giving us a romantic and feminine approach to this latest Autumn trend with the combination of luxury and embellished elements. How will you embrace it?
